It's hard to stay away from the ocean & beach in Southern California. It definitely draws you in... and gives you some perspective on life and the planet as a whole. Wanting to shoot something different than a perfect sunny day I decided to photography this jetty on a cloudy, marine-layer morning. The waves were pretty good size... sending the whitewater pass me along each side. Playing around with different shutter speeds I decided to settle on one that gave me the streaking water lines while still keeping the whiteness of the whitewater. The jetty just seems to vanish into the horizon and beckons you to follow it and see where it goes.
