Shooting long exposures is always fun for me and on this day I waited till the tide was just right for the small waves to start breaking on and running over the reef. The clouds were wisping by at a pretty good rate so I set up my camera, opened the shutter and starting timing. Getting the right exposure is critical to getting the effect you want. For me, I waited until the sun peaked through the clouds just on the peninsula forest and hoped it would hold that position for the length of the shoot. I timed it just right and love the mood I created.
