Watching the morning sunlight cast shadows across the shapes and contours of these towering sand dunes was really a special treat. Because of wind and weather, sand dunes are always changing their shapes, shifting back and forth, to and fore, so you never know what to expect when you come upon these locations at different times of the season.

I woke up early this morning and picked my location carefully. Slowly the dunes unique curves came to life and granted me an image with many asymmetrical lines and shapes. And as fast as they appeared, they soon disappeared as the sun rose higher and higher in the east, reemphasizing how quickly you can miss the perfect shot.
