Photographing simple subjects can be tricky sometimes. When I came across these jetties there were people everywhere. On boats, SUPs, kayaks and whatever else they could find to float on. Fishing, camping and playing along the shoreline added to the difficulty of capturing this image. Once I set up my camera in the perfect spot I just waited and waited for the crowd to start thinning out. Finally right at sunset the sky turned a faint pink as I began my 12 minute exposure. The sun also cast delicate hints of color onto the jetty as it dip below the horizon. Luckily a few of the remaining incoming boats were moving too fast to register on the sensor and the long exposure keep the water clean and smooth.
