"ANCESTREE"

California is a very unique state, in the sense of the variety of environments you have throughout the seasons, especially notable in the Southern region. You just need time to get out and explore to find surprisingly new images in places you would have never thought.

I was driving the back roads of San Diego County, one weekend, looking for something different to shoot. There were no storms or interesting weather patterns to speak of but I’ve never let that stop me from seeking out a great image.  I saw this beautiful tree and stopped to investigate a possible composition.  The sky was clear blue; the lake reflecting the same, the tree fluorescent green from the direct sunlight, and the different hues of yellow and green also lit up by the direct sunshine, made such a compelling image, I had to shoot it. Just goes to show you don’t have to wait for interesting weather to produce a great image. You just need your imagination and drive to get from out in front of the TV and explore.
